Men's Golf Posts Runner-Up Finish at A-State Spring Invitational

JONESBORO, Ark. - Xavier men's golf placed second at the A-State Spring Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The two-day tournament was played at Ridgepointe Country Club.

Xavier now has seven top-five finishes this season.

The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 863 (-1), finishing behind tournament host Arkansas State (828, -36). The field had 10 teams.

Individually, Zach Burton paced the Musketeers with a 54-hole score of 214 (-2) - placing tied for seventh. He now has four career top-10 finishes.

Arkansas State's Jack Maxey took home medalist honors with a score of 204 (-12) in a field of 60 golfers.

Xavier returns to action at the BIG EAST Championships on April 26-28. The tournament is being played at Callawassie Country Club in Callawassie Island, S.C.
