NOTABLES

Xavier has seven top-10 team finishes this season, including two tournament titles. The Musketeers won the Xavier Invitational on Oct. 22 and the Wexford Intercollegiate on Feb. 18.
The Musketeers are paced by Carson Bellish who has a team-best 71.2 stroke average on the season. Zach Burton (72.0) and Ray Filter (72.1) rank second and third on the team, respectively.
Carson Bellish paces the squad with six top-10 finishes. All told, seven different golfers have posted two or more top-10 finishes this season.
Four different golfers have earned medalist honors this season: Zach Burton, Ray Filter, Kellen Dean and Mason Witt.
Three different golfers have earned BIG EAST Golfer of the Week honors this season.
- Mason Witt on April 10.
- Ray Filter on Feb. 20.
- Kellen Dean on Oct. 8.
Xavier's highest finish at a BIG EAST Championship was second in 2016. The last time Xavier won a conference title was in 2005. From 1996-2013 in the Atlantic 10 Conference, the Musketeers had nine runner-up team finishes and four, first-place finishes.
The last Xavier golfer to earn medalist honors at the conference championships was Garrett Wood in 2019.

2024 BIG EAsT CHAMPIONSHIPS

Xavier placed fifth at the 2024 BIG EAST Championships on April 29. The three-day tournament was held at Riverton Pointe Country Club and Golf Course.
The fifth-place finish was Xavier's highest team finish at the BIG EAST Championships since 2017 (also finished fifth). The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 887 (+23).
Individually, A.J. Wilhelm placed tied for 11th with a 54-hole score of 221 (+5) - the highest finish by a freshman at the tournament.

UP NEXT

The BIG EAST will crown a team champion, which gains an automatic berth to the NCAA Championship. Should the individual champion not be a member of the winning team, he will also earn an automatic position in the NCAA Championship.
The NCAA Selection Show will be aired on the Golf Channel on Wednesday, April 30 at 1 p.m.
The NCAA Regionals will be played on May 12-14.
