Emma Welch took home medalist honors for the second time in as many conference championships

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. - Xavier women's golf won it sixth straight BIG EAST Championship on Monday afternoon. The three-day tournament was held at Riverton Pointe Golf and Country Club.

The six conference titles are the most by a single team in BIG EAST history. Xavier posted a 54-hole score of 876 (+12), finishing 23 strokes ahead of Georgetown (899, +35). The 23-stroke victory is the largest in BIG EAST history since 2003 (Notre Dame defeated Miami by 44 strokes).

Emma Welch took home medalist honors for the second time in as many conference championships, posting a 54-hole score of 216 (E). She finished two strokes ahead of teammate Madison Reemsnyder (218, +2).

Welch is the second golfer in conference history to win the individual title on more than one occasion (Creighton's Katharine Lemke did it in 2022 and 2023). The Lakeville, Minn., native now has five career top-10 finishes with two tournament victories (2024 and 2025 BIG EAST Champion).

All five of Xavier's golfers finished in the top-10 at the BIG EAST Championships.
