Women's Golf to Compete at NCAA Columbus Regional

CINCINNATI - Xavier women's golf was selected to participate in the NCAA Columbus Regional on Wednesday afternoon. The tournament will be played at the OSU Golf Club – Scarlet Course on May 5-7.

The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.

Xavier punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament by winning the BIG EAST Championship on Sunday, April 21. The Musketeers won their sixth straight conference title by 23 strokes, the largest margin of victory since 2003. The six conference titles are also the most by a single team in BIG EAST history.

All five of Xavier's golfers finished in the top-10 at the BIG EAST Championships, highlighted by Emma Welch who took home medalist honors at the championship for the second time in as many seasons.

COLUMBUS REGIONAL

The Columbus Regional will be played at OSU Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio and will be hosted by Ohio State.
