Women's Soccer Announces 2025 Fall Schedule

Musketeers get season underway at Pitt on August 14
CINCINNATI – Xavier women's soccer head coach Dean Ward announced the schedule for Fall 2025. Ward's second season leading the Musketeers officially gets underway on Thursday, August 14 at Pitt.
To open the Fall, Xavier will host a meet and greet and a Navy vs. White intrasquad scrimmage at Corcoran Field on Saturday, August 2, with the meet and greet set for 5:00 PM, ahead of a 6:30 PM game time.
The Musketeers will face NKU in an exhibition match at Corcoran Field on Tuesday, August 5, set for a 6:30 PM start, then travel to Lexington, Ky., to face Kentucky in exhibition match on Saturday, August 9, set for 7:30 PM start.
Xavier will face teams from six conferences ahead of BIG EAST play, including a pair of teams from both the ACC and the Big Ten. Four of the squads on Xavier's schedule took part in the 2024 NCAA Championship.
Xavier went 15-4-2 in 2024, with a 7-2-1 mark in BIG EAST play to earn the No. 2 seed in the BIG EAST Championship. The Musketeers took a 2-0 win over DePaul in the BIG EAST Semifinals to earn their third-straight appearance in the BIG EAST Championship match.
The 2025 BIG EAST Championship returns to the Maryland SoccerPlex, in Boyds, Md., and is set to run from Thursday, November 6 through Sunday, November 9, 2025.

- The Cavaliers went 13-5-1 overall last season and 5-5 in ACC play. UVA earned a at-large bid to the NCAA Championships, taking a 2-1 win over Princeton in the first round. The Cavs played Wisconsin to a 0-0 draw in the second round, but the Badgers advanced with a 4-2 advantage on PKs.
- Xavier last faced Virginia in the 2022 NCAA Championship Second Round in State College, Pa. The Cavs took a 3-1 win.
at Cincinnati

- The Bearcats went 6-9-4 overall last season with a 2-6-3 record in Big 12 play. UC fell, 3-2, to Oklahoma State in the First Round of the Big 12 Championship.
- The Musketeers enter the 2025 season on a four-match unbeaten streak against the Bearcats after taking the 1-0 win at Corcoran Field last season.

- The Racers finished 2024 at 5-8-5 overall with a 1-5-4 record in MVC play.
- Xavier is 3-0 all-time against the Racers after taking a 2-1 win in Murray, Ky., last season.

- The Spartans went 14-3-5 overall and 7-1-3 in Big Ten play, earning the No. 4 seed in the league tournament. MSU fell to Rutgers in 2-1, in overtime in the Quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament.
- Michigan State earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships, advancing to the Round of 16 with a 3-1 win over Western Michigan and a 3-2 overtime win against No. 21 Texas. The Spartans fell, 2-0, to No. 1 Duke in the third round.
- Xavier is 4-3-2 all-time against Michigan State after playing the then No. 4 Spartans to a 2-2 draw in East Lansing last season.

- The Hawks went 3-11-3 overall and 2-4-3 in OVC play, taking a 2-1 win in the First Round of the OVC tournament before falling to Lindenwood.
- The two programs have face each other once before, a 3-2 win for SEMO in Cape Girardeau, Mo., in Sept. 2004.
at DePaul *

- The Blue Demons went 5-8-7 overall and 3-3-4 in BIG EAST play, finishing sixth in the conference standings.
- DePaul played Butler to a 3-3 draw in the BIG EAST First Round and advanced on PKS, 8-7. Xavier took a 2-0 win over the Blue Demons in the Semifinals.
- The Musketeers picked up a pair of wins over DePaul last season, taking a 3-0 win in the regular season match in Cincinnati, and a 2-0 win in the BIG EAST Semifinals to stretch Xavier's win streak against the Blue Demons to seven matches, and the Musketeers' unbeaten streak against DePaul to 10 matches.

- The Huskies went 12-5-4 in 2024, with a 4-3-3 mark in BIG EAST play to finish fifth in the league standings.
- UConn took a 2-0 win at Creighton to advance to the BIG EAST Semifinals and moved on to the Championship match with a 2-0 win over No. 1 seed Georgetown. Connecticut took the league title and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship with a 2-1 win in double overtime against Xavier.
- The Huskies advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championship with a 2-1 win over Rutgers before falling to Stanford in the second round.
- Xavier played UConn to a 1-1 draw in Cincinnati in last season's regular season match-up before falling 2-1 in double overtime in the BIG EAST Championship match.

- The Musketeers took a 3-0 win over Butler in Indianapolis in 2024, giving Xavier a four-match unbeaten streak against the Bulldogs.

- Xavier took a 2-1 win over the Golden Eagles in last season's match in Milwaukee. The Musketeers enter the 2025 on a four-match unbeaten streak against the Golden Eagles.

Corcoran Field - Cincinnati, Ohio
- The Hoyas went 13-3-4 overall and 8-1-1 in BIG EAST play, winning the league's regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.
- Georgetown fell to UConn, 2-0, in the BIG EAST Semifinals.
- The Hoyas earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship, taking a 3-0 win over Fairfield in the First Round before falling to Iowa in the second round.
- Xavier fell, 2-0, to the Hoyas in last season's match-up in Washington, D.C.
