The defender joins the Musketeers from Houston Christian
CINCINNATI - Xavier head men's soccer coach John Higgins announced the signing of Thomas Wyke on Monday afternoon. The 5-foot-10 defender joins the Musketeers from Houston Christian.
"I'm super excited to add Thomas in at this late stage," said Higgins. "We were really impressed with his character and tactical awareness in the recruiting process. He has good experience overseas and with HCU and that should help him adjust quickly to life at Xavier. He makes great decisions on the ball and could be a real threat using his pace from the fullback position."
Wyke played in 34 matches over two seasons (2023-24), making 23 starts. He recorded one goal, three assists and eight shots. The Bærum, Norway, native logged 2,091 minutes of action.
In 2024, Wyke helped the Huskies post an 8-7-5 (5-2-3 OVC) record. He helped the defense post a 0.94 GAA – ranking first in the conference and 24th in the NCAA. The defense also posted eight shutouts on the year.
