Landon comes to Xavier after spending the 2025 season at Toledo
CINCINNATI - Siemers Family Baseball Head Coach Billy O'Conner announced the addition of Ethan Landon to the Xavier Baseball staff as pitching coach this week. Landon comes to Xavier after spending the 2025 season at Toledo.
""I'm ecstatic to be able to bring a coach of Ethan's caliber into our program," said O'Conner. "He has shown a commitment to building relationships and helping student-athletes grow, and he brings a wealth of pitching knowledge with him to help our pitchers reach their full potential. I have no doubt that Ethan will help push our program to the next level."
At Toledo, Landon coached a pitching staff of 22 student-athletes and served as recruiting coordinator for pitchers. In 2025, Landon helped lead the Rockets to a 32-29 record, with Toledo's pitching posting a MAC-best 5.26 ERA and collecting 428 strikeouts, a top-five mark in program history.

Prior to his time at Toledo, Landon spent two seasons at Troy University as the Trojans' pitching coach. He helped Troy to an NCAA regional appearance and 40-win season in 2023, followed by a 37-22 record in 2024. Troy set program records with 636 strikeouts and 21 saves in 2023.
Troy's pitching staff earned a pair of 2023 All-Sun Belt selections in First Team pick Grayson Stewart and Second Team selection Noah Manning. In 2023, Landon also coached right-handed pitcher Zach Fruit, who was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles, and righty Ben Thompson, who signed with the Los Angeles Angels.
Prior to Troy, Landon was part of travel baseball organizations Motor City Hit Dogs in Michigan and GRB Rays in Wisconsin. He also volunteered with the Miracle League of Mid-Michigan.
Landon played collegiately for Michigan State from 2015-18, posting a career ERA of 3.98 with 14 wins in 72 appearances, including 39 starts.
