Xavier Sweeps Tennessee Tech in Season Opener

The Musketeers started off the Austin Peay Tournament with a 3-0 win over Tennessee Tech.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - The Xavier volleyball team opened the 2025 season with a 3-0 win over Tennessee Tech on Friday morning at the Stacheville Challenge.
The Musketeers combined for 11 blocks to hold the Golden Eagles to an .021 hitting percentage, the lowest of any opponent in four seasons.
Xavier will return to action tonight against host Austin Peay at 8:00 p.m. EST. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
XU starts the season at 1-0 while TTU falls to 0-1.

Xavier returns to action tonight with game two of the Austin Peay Tournament against the host Governors tonight. The match is set for 8:00 p.m. EST and will be streamed on ESPN+. XU closes out the weekend against Murray State at 12:00 p.m. EST on Saturday.

- Tennessee Tech's .021 hitting percentage is the lowest of any opponent since South Carolina State's -.016 on August 27, 2021. That match was also the season opener for the Musketeers.
- The Musketeers had zero reception errors in the second set and finished the match with a .938 reception percentage.
