ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Xavier volleyball team defeated host Oakland, 3-1, at the Golden Grizzlies Invitational on Friday night.

The Musketeers remain the only 2-0 team in the tournament with the victory. XU will face Southern Illinois on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. to close out the weekend.

Emma Grace and Margo Kemp each tallied four kills in the fourth set to help the Musketeers hit .333 and solidify their win.

Xavier improves to 8-1 while Oakland falls to 0-8 after Friday night's match.

Emma Grace had 11 kills and 15 digs to record her 32nd career double-double and seventh of the season.
Margo Kemp contributed nine kills and five blocks while hitting .333.
Kelsey Niesen tallied 23 digs and two service aces.
McKinley Boehm had six kills and five blocks to hit .333 as well.
Catherine Flaharty had five kills and two blocks for a .300 hitting percentage
Anna Taylor had three kills on zero errors for a .429 clip in one set.
Macy Hatkevich dished out 26 assists along with five digs, two kills and a block.
Jamison Gordon tallied seven assists, seven digs, two aces and a kill.
Xavier combined for 10 blocks in the match, the fifth match this season in double figures.
The Musketeers were only aced two times by the Golden Grizzlies, the lowest mark this season.
Kemp and Boehm each recorded two solo blocks for the team's single-match high of four solo blocks.
