Xavier dropped a three-set road match at No. 16 Creighton on Friday night to move to 1-1 in BIG EAST play.

OMAHA, Neb. - The Xavier volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match (18-25, 23-25, 16-25) to No. 16 Creighton in D.J. Sokol Arena on Friday night in the Musketeers' first BIG EAST road trip of the season.

Emma Grace had four kills in the first set while the Musketeers combined for three blocks, but the Bluejays offense had four players record at least three kills each to take the first set.

The Musketeers held CU to just a .056 clip in a back-and-forth second set that saw 15 ties and six lead changes. XU took advantage of a 4-0 run early in the set to take an 11-8 lead, but the Bluejays fought back to sneak out a two-point set win.

Creighton hit a massive .444 in the final set and recorded three aces on XU to secure the sweep.

The Musketeers drop just their second match of the season to move to 12-2 (1-1 BIG EAST) while the Bluejays improve to 8-5 (1-0 BIG EAST).

Emma Grace led the team on both sides of the ball with eight kills and 10 digs.
McKinley Boehm followed up with six kills on an error less .545 clip along with five blocks.
Margo Kemp had five kills while Anna Taylor tallied three and both ended the night with two blocks.
The Musketeers were unable to record an ace for the first time this season.
Xavier was held to a season-low .061 clip and their first mark under .100.
The Musketeers combined for seven blocks against the Bluejays.
