Cooper Forcellini Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - Cooper Forcellini was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, earning conference honors for the second time this season.

Forcellini scored four goals in two matches last week, helping Xavier to a 1-1 record (2-1 win at Northern Kentucky; 3-2 loss vs Providence). The senior midfielder scored two goals via penalty kick, one in each match.

The Olathe, Kan., native took seven shots (five shots on goal) last week and now has a team-leading nine goals on the year. Forcellini is the first Musketeer to score nine or more goals in a season since 2019 (Samson Sergi; 10 goals).

Forcellini ranks tied for second in the NCAA in total goals (9).

Xavier returns to action on Friday, Oct. 3 at Marquette. First touch is set for 8 p.m. ET from Valley Fields.
