CINCINNATI - Xavier dropped a 65-52 BIG EAST matchup vs Georgetown on Saturday morning at Cintas Center.
The Musketeers moved to 10-10 (3-8 BIG EAST), while the Hoyas improved to 12-8 (5-6 BIG EAST).
Xavier returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at No. 1 UConn. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m. from Gampel Pavilion with the game being aired nationally on Peacock.

- The game featured five lead changes and two ties. The Hoyas led for 32:40, while the Musketeers led for 5:43.
- Xavier led, 25-24, with 3:58 left in the first half before the Hoyas closed the stanza on a 6-2 run - taking a three-point lead into the locker room (30-27).
- Georgetown led by as many as 16 points (49-33) in the closing seconds of the third quarter. Xavier battled back to close within nine points (61-52) with 56 seconds left in regulation - but the Hoyas went on a 4-0 run to close the game and pull away for the 13-point win (65-52).
- Mariyah Noel scored a team-high 20 points on 8-for-17 shooting, her seventh game of the season with 20 or more points. She added six rebounds and two steals.
- MacKenzie Givens added 11 points on 5-for-11 shooting, her 11th career double-figure scoring game. She chipped in six rebounds and two steals.
- Vivien Nejašmić posted eight points, five rebounds and three assists in 26 minutes off the bench.
- Meri Kanerva had six points, five assists and two rebounds. Savannah White finished with five points, six rebounds and five assists.
- Both teams had 32 rebounds in the contest. Georgetown held a 28-13 advantage in points off of turnovers and scored seven more fastbreak points (10-3).
- Xavier held a 13-9 advantage in second-chance points. Georgetown scored six more points in the paint (26-20) and had one more bench point (9-8).
- Xavier finished with a .375 field-goal percentage (21-for-56) and went 8-for-24 from behind the arc. The Musketeers were also 2-for-4 from the foul line.
- Georgetown was 22-for-52 from the floor and 6-for-21 from behind the arc. The Hoyas were also 15-for-17 from the foul line.
- Brianna Scott scored a game-high 21 points and pulled down a game-high eight rebounds.
