Men's Tennis Sweeps BIG EAST Weekly Awards

Kotarski named Singles Player of the Week; Campbell and Frizelle named Doubles Team of the Week
NEW YORK - After picking up a pair of team wins over the weekend, Xavier men's tennis swept the BIG EAST Weekly Awards, with Alex Kotarski earning Singles Player of the Week, and Bode Campbell and Samuel Frizelle picking up Doubles Team of the Week.
Kotarski, a sophomore from Hinsdale, Ill., earned Singles Player of the Week after helping Xavier to a 2-0 weekend with a pair of singles wins. In Xavier's 5-2 win over Cleveland State, Kotarski picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win on the No. 3 court made it a 3-0 Xavier lead. Against NKU, Kotarski won on court No. 2, 6-4, 6-2, to clinch the match for Xavier at 4-2, on the way to the 5-2 victory.
Campbell, a freshman from Bloomington, Minn., and Frizelle, a senior from Lutz, Fla., earned Doubles Team of the Week after going 2-0 as a pair over the 2-0 weekend for the Musketeers. In Xavier's 5-2 win over Cleveland State, Samuel Frizelle and Bode Campbell picked up the first decision on the way to taking the doubles point with a 6-2 win on the No. 3 court. The pair made it a 2-0 weekend with a 6-2 win on the No. 3 court against the Norse.
The Musketeers will travel to IU Indy on Sunday, Feb. 22, set for a 10:00 a.m. start.
