The sophomore golfer earns the honors for the second time in her career

NEW YORK - Isabel Brozena was named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week on Thursday. She earns the honors for the second time her career.

Brozena is the third Musketeer to earn the honors this season.

Brozena led Xavier to a runner-up finish at the WMU Rio Verde Invitational on Feb. 22 with a 54-hole score of 889 (+25). The three-day tournament was hosted by Western Michigan at Rio Verde CC in Rio Verde, Ariz.

Brozena took home medalist honors in a field of 95 golfers. The North Reading, Mass., native posted a score of 215 (-1), winning by one stroke.

Brozena now has seven career top-10 finishes with one tournament title.

Brozena and the Musketeers return to action on March 2-3 at the Daniel Island Invitational in Charleston, S.C.
