In 2024-25, he helped coach two All-BIG EAST performers in Carson Bellish and Ray Filter - the first all-conference performers since 2019. Xavier also had two or more golfers earn all-conference honors in the same season for the first time since 2016 (Jose Montaño and Daniel Wetterich).
The Musketeers posted five, top-three finishes during the 2024-25 season with two tournament titles. Xavier placed second at the BIG EAST Championships on April 28, the highest finish for the Musketeers at the BIG EAST Championships since 2016 (also finished second).
Xavier won the Xavier Invitational and the Wexford Intercollegiate during the 2024-25 season, the first team titles for the Musketeers since 2016 (won the Pinehurst Intercollegiate).
During his collegiate career at Wright State, Goecke established himself as a formidable golfer, holding the records for the Wright State Career Scoring Average and the Single Season Scoring Average. He was an integral member of the 2022 Horizon League Championship Team and clinched the title of 2023 Horizon League Individual Champion. His consistent performance earned him the title of Horizon League Player of the Year twice and a place on the Horizon League First Team three times. Goecke's tenure at Wright State was marked by seven individual tournament victories, highlighting his competitive edge and skill.
After his time at Wright State, Goecke continued to excel at the University of Illinois. In 2024, he earned Honorable Mention All-American honors and was the Individual Runner-Up at the NCAA National Championship. His performance at the Stanford Regional was particularly noteworthy, where he secured a top-5 finish.
Goecke's accomplishments extend beyond the collegiate level into his amateur career. In 2024, he won the Dayton Metropolitan Championship and was the Ohio Amateur Runner-Up, following a third-place finish in 2023 and 2022. His impressive record includes being a semifinalist at the 2023 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball, winning the 2021 NEOH Amateur Championship, and earning Second-Team honors at the 2018 OHSAA Boys State Championship.
