Men's Golf Announces 2026-27 Schedule

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's golf announced its complete 2026-27 schedule on Thursday. The Musketeers open the season on Sept. 14-15 at the Bearcat Invitational.

ABOUT THE MUSKETEERS

Xavier won the BIG EAST Championship on May 4, the program's ninth conference championship and first title since 2005. The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 843 (-21), defeating Marquette by four strokes (847, -17).
Five Musketeers were named 2025-26 NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars on Aug. 3. Carson Bellish, Kellen Dean, Ray Filter, Kyle Smith and A.J. Wilhelm all earned the honors.
Xavier earned the 2025-26 BIG EAST Team Academic Excellence Award on July 28. The Musketeers posted a 3.768 team grade point average, the highest team GPA by a men's golf program in the conference.
Carson Bellish, Kellen Dean and A.J. Wilhelm were named to the 2026 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team selected by College Sports Communicators on June 16.
The Musketeers have posted six tournament titles over the last two seasons (2024-25; 2025-26). Xavier has also posted 10, top-three finishes.
Brian Arlinghaus was named BIG EAST Coach of the Year on May 13. Arlinghaus earned Coach of the Year honors for the first time in his coaching career (was the head coach at Wright State from 2017-21). He became the first Xavier men's golf coach to earn the honors since Doug Steiner in 2001.
Xavier returns three golfers who competed at the BIG EAST Championships in Kyle Smith (T-6th), A.J. Wilhelm (14th) and Kellen Dean (T-20th).
Ray Filter enters the season with a 72.5 career stroke average, ranking second in school history. He has eight career top-10 finishes and one tournament title. The senior played one round at the NCAA Corvallis Regional, hitting 71 (E) in the final round as a subsitute.
Kellen Dean enters the season with a 72.9 career stroke average, ranking sixth in school history. He has five career top-10 finishes and one tournament title.
AJ Adams enters the season with a 73.4 career stroke average, ranking eighth in school history. He has four career top-10 finishes and one tournament title.
A.J. Wilhelm enters the season with a 73.6 career stroke average, ranking tied for ninth in school history. He has four career top-10 finishes.
Xavier welcomes two freshmen in Zachary Johnson (Maple Grove, Minn.) and Sebastian Olsen (Aarhus, Denmark) to the 2026-27 roster. The Musketeers also added Florida Southern College transfer, Chris Pollak (Aurora, Ohio).
