Mark Gaertner is in his first year as a graduate program manager following four years as an undergraduate student manager, including last season as the head manager overseeing the student managerial team.
Gaertner’s responsibilities include assisting the coaching staff in limited on-court activities during practice, advance scouting, video and on-campus recruiting.
During his time as an undergraduate student manager, Gaertner was responsible for handling practice statistics, organizing team equipment for away travel and various practice and scout team duties as needed.
Gaertner played four years of basketball at St. Edward’s High School in Cleveland, including serving as the team captain on the 2019 team that played in the Ohio Division I Final Four. Gaertner’s basketball experience also includes time as a summer AAU coach in 2020 and 2021, working with fourth through eighth graders
Gaertner graduated in May of 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in economics. In addition to his current basketball duties, Gaertner is pursuing a master’s degree in sport management.
