Ty Sampson has completed three years with the men's basketball team, including one year as the program's first-ever Video Coordinator after two years as a graduate program assistant. Sampson came to Xavier after graduating from the University of Illinois in May, 2013 with a degree in finance. Sampson, who was born in Thousand Oaks, Calif., worked with the Illinois basketball program as an undergrad. He is pursuing his master's degree in business administration at XU.

Sampson's primary responsibilities include assisting in the program's video operations, including film breakdown, coordinating film exchange, creating team highlight videos, advance scouting of opponents and helping Xavier players with individual film needs. Sampson also assists the coaching staff in limited on-court activities during practice, advance scouting, on-campus recruiting and team academics.
