A two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection who averaged 7.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.9 blocks and 15.9 minutes a game in 22 games in the 2020-21 season before suffering a knee injury on Feb. 25 at Michigan and missing Iowa’s last seven games ... Scored a career-high 18 points twice this past season, including 18 points and six rebounds vs. Ohio State on Feb. 4 and 18 points, a career-high 11 rebounds and a career-high tying six assists in the win at Michigan State on Feb. 13 ... 2019-20 (SOPHOMORE AT IOWA)
After using a redshirt year in 2018-19, started the first five games of the 2019-20 season, including his first career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Oral Roberts on Nov. 15 ... Suffered a season-ending ACL-injury in that fifth start, Nov. 24 vs. Cal Poly, and was granted a medical hardship waiver

Played in all 33 games as a freshman in the 2017-18 season, starting 14 times and ranking fifth on the team in scoring (5.7 ppg.) and second in blocked shots (25).
AT NEWBURGH (IND.) CASTLE HIGH SCHOOL
Prior to his time at Iowa, Nunge was an Indiana All-Star at Newburgh (Ind.) Castle High School and sparked his team to a berth in the Class 4A Semistate as a senior where it lost to eventual state champion Indianapolis Ben Davis. He averaged 22.8 points, 11.6 rebounds and 3.5 blocks as a senior while being named First Team All-State and All-Metro (Evansville) Player of the Year ... Basketball coach: Brian Gibson.
