BIG EAST Women's Tennis Player of the Week (Apr. 21, 2015)
As a Senior (2015-16): Member of the 2016 BIG EAST Championship team where she played No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles paired with Cristina Di Lorenzo... She compiled a 4-1 BIG EAST Championship record going undefeated in doubles with Di Lorenzo with a notable win over DePaul's Yulya Shupenia and Anina Sufi. 7-6 (2), in the finals... Notable win over Indiana's Stephanie Smith, 6-3, 6-7(2), 6-3, to assist the team in beating Indiana for the first time in program history... The duo of Brinker and Di Lorenzo made it to the quarterfinal's of the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional before falling to Kentucky's Mami Adachi and Aldila Stujiadi, 8-4, and had an overall record of 18-14 on the season.Â
As a Junior (2014-15): Achieved a 12-7 spring season record while playing No. 2 singles… Splitting time with Cristina Di Lorenzo and Lauren Ghidotti as a doubles partner, posted a 12-4 spring season doubles record… Assisted the team in earning the second seed at the BIG EAST Championship by posting a 5-3 singles record and a 6-1 doubles record… Closed out BIG EAST regular season play with two wins over Creighton’s Katherine Nelsen, 6-7, 6-4, 10-4, and Butler’s Konstantia Adami, 6-0, 6-3… Only lost one set from her 6-1, 6-1 win over Dayton’s Alex Townsend on March 18 to her April 1 win over Cincinnati’s Katya Bure, 6-2, 6-4… Completed her Junior season with an overall 18-10 singles record and a 15-8 doubles record.
As a Sophomore (2013-14): Made the 2014 All-BIG EAST Team during her sophomore season after finishing the conference season with a 4-0 singles record and claiming a big singles victory over Marquette in the BIG EAST Championships ... Played #1 doubles with Sydney Liggins and split time between #1 and #2 singles ... Ended the season with a 20-14 singles record, which included a 16-9 record in dual matches ... Remained unbeaten in singles competition from Feb. 14 until Mar. 14 before dropping a singles match to Toledo's Chrissy Coffman ... Closed out the BIG EAST regular season by winning her final two matches in straight sets against Creighton's Analese Snyder (6-1, 6-1) and Providence's M.C. Bernardez (6-0, 6-0) ... Paired up with Liggins for the entire doubles season and registered a 9-13 overall record and a 7-6 record in dual meets ... Opened up the season with a doubles win over Louisville, 8-5 ... Went 2-0 in conference regular season doubles matches against Marquette (8-4) and Providence (8-0).
As a Freshman (2012-13): Named 2013 Most Outstanding Rookie Performer of the Atlantic 10...Awarded Rookie performer of the week three times and Co-Performer of the Week one time...Posted a 23-game win streak that began on Jan. 25, 2013 and ended Apr. 20, 2013 with the majority of the wins being at the number two singles spot...Led Xavier with 33 overall singles victories and a perfect 9-0 record in Atlantic 10 play... Defeated Dayton's Carly Peck 6-0, 6-1 to help Xavier sweep the Flyers 7-0 beginning her undefeated Atlantic 10 season...Beat #40 San Diego State's Alicia Aguilar 6-1, 7-5...Won three-straight singles matches at the Ohio Valley ITA Regional Championship...Finished the season with a 3-1 record at the Atlantic 10 Tournament...Found success playing with Kally Alkire as her tennis partner having an overall record of 7-6...Started her season with four doubles victories and won the Milwaukee Tennis Classic doubles championship.
Prior to Xavier: Played varsity tennis at Penn High School and posted a 86-7 record...Won the singles Indiana High School State Championship in 2012...Finished third in the state in 2011...Rated as the No. 49 recruit nationally and top overall in Indiana by TennisRecruiting.net...The Northern Indiana Conference MVP in 2011 and 2012...Two-time All-State Member.
