BIG EAST Women's Tennis Player of the Week (Apr. 15, 2015)
As a Senior (2016-17): Selected to the 2017 All-BIG EAST team … Finished the season with a 19-10 record, 4-1 in the BIG EAST, primarily playing No. 2 singles … Ended career with 90 singles wins, tied fourth all time … Partnered with Lauren Ghidotti at No. 1 doubles and compiled a 16-12 record, 4-1 in BIG EAST … Finished career with 75 doubles wins, 10th all-time … Career record of 165-67 (.711), fourth all-time.Â
As a Junior (2015-16): Member of the 2016 BIG EAST Championship team where she played No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles paired with Alex Brinker... She compiled a 3-1 BIG EAST Championship record going undefeated in doubles paired with Brinker including a notable win over DePaul's Yulya Shupenia and Anina Sufi. 7-6 (2), to clinch the doubles point in the finals... Finished the season ranked No. 18 in the Ohio Valley Region after compiling a 23-7 record for her third time in as many seasons recording 20-plus wins... Went 2-2 against opponents on nationally ranked teams with wins over Indiana's Paula Guiterrez and DePaul's Patricia Lancranjan... The duo of Brinker and Di Lorenzo made it to the quarterfinal's of the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional before falling to Kentucky's Mami Adachi and Aldila Stujiadi, 8-4, and had an overall record of 18-14 on the season.Â
As a Sophomore (2014-15): Completed the spring season with a 15 match win streak that began on Feb. 15 with a three set win over University of Illinois at Chicago’s Ann-Sophie Hahn, 6-4, 5-7, 10-6 and went all the way to the BIG EAST Championship semifinals against St. John’s Zofia Staniz, 6-4, 7-6… Did not lose a set in 14 matches completing a 28 set win streak that began on Feb. 25 and went until the end of the season… In spring competition, had a notable win against No. 64 Louisville’s Chloe Willetts, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4… Recorded a win percentage of .821 playing primarily at the No. 4 position… Lost only one match in BIG EAST play posting an 8-1 record, best conference record on the team… Splitting time with Alex Brinker and Daniella Patton as doubles partners, Di Lorenzo posted an overall doubles record of 19-4.Â
As a Freshman (2013-14): Recorded the highest winning percentage in singles competition for the season, 25-6 (.806) as a freshman ... Played primarily as the #3 single, but saw time at #2 ... Suffered just one loss from Feb. 7 to Apr. 26 (19-1) before losing to Marquette's Ali Dawson in the BIG EAST Championships ... Opened her BIG EAST singles season with a shutout victory over Butler's Kailey Eaton (6-0, 6-0) ... Enjoyed a 14-match win-streak in singles matches (Feb. 1 - Mar. 27) ... Paired with Daniella Patton as the #2 doubles for whole season in doubles matches and compiled a record of 20-7 (tied for best on team) ... Tallied a win over #40 Indiana's Alecia Kauss and Shannon Murdy to start the spring season (6-4) ... Built a 12-match unbeaten streak in doubles competition (Nov. 1 - Mar. 5) ... Registered one doubles win against Seton Hall in the BIG EAST Championships (8-6).
Prior to Xavier: Finished her high school career going undefeated in 2013...Won Division One Doubles State Championship with her sister, Francesca...Three-time OCC Champion ...Received All-Ohio honors in 2011 and 2012...Ranked top overall in Ohio by TennisRecruiting.net...Scholar Athlete Award recipient in 2013.
