Becca Bornhorst was named assistant athletic director for women’s basketball in August of 2021. She joins the Musketeers after three seasons (2018-21) at IUPUI as the director of women’s basketball operations and creative services.
At IUPUI, Bornhorst oversaw the day-to-day operations of the program and directed the team’s internal and external communications, including creative content and social media. The Jaguars posted a 58-25 (39-11 Horizon) record with Bornhost on staff.
Prior to IUPUI, Bornhorst spent one season (2017-18) as a graduate assistant coach at Texas Tech. She also spent time as an assistant coach at Taylor University from 2015-17 (spent part of the 2016 season as the interim head coach).
Bornhorst has public relations experience as well, working in both the Butler Athletic Communications Office and the media relations department with the Indiana Fever. She also worked for Grad Solutions, Inc., representing IndyCar teams and drivers.
The former basketball standout played at Butler from 2009-13. She was a four-time academic all-conference honoree and served as team captain during her senior season.
The Dublin, Ohio, native holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Butler (’13) and a master’s degree in sport management from Texas Tech (’18).
