Megan Patrick was named an Assistant Coach in August of 2025. Patrick has seven years of experience at the Division I level, most recently at Louisville.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Megan to our staff. Her enthusiasm, wisdom and tireless work ethic are qualities that will make an immediate impact on our program," said Morris. "She brings a maturity and depth of experience that will translate seamlessly into this new phase of our program and strengthen the family we are building here. I have no doubt that her presence will elevate our student-athletes and contribute meaningfully to our continued growth."
Patrick spent the 2024-2025 seasons as an assistant coach with Louisville, working as the Offensive and Draw Coordinator. She helped increase the Cardinals' goal total from 164 to 242 in the 2024 season. Louisville opened the 2025 season with a 10-8 win over No. 15 Denver and started ACC play with a 10-9 double overtime win against Cal.
In her first season with the Cardinals, Patrick helped coach midfielder Nicole Perroni to the 2024 All-ACC First Team and attacker Kokoro Nakazawa to the Second Team.
While working with the draw unit, she helped increase Louisville's draw control total from 195 to 253 in her first season. Across her two seasons, the Cardinals' draw control rate increased from 42 to 49 percent.
Prior to her time at Louisville, Patrick served as the assistant coach for the Kent State lacrosse program for two years. She was promoted in July of 2021 following a year of work for the Golden Flashes as a volunteer assistant and another as a graduate assistant.
Patrick helped Kent State build to its most successful season, improving from 5-10 in 2021, to 10-8 with a MAC regular season championship in 2023. She also coached the Flashes to their highest draw control total in program history, improving from 183 in 2021 to 264 in 2023.
In addition to seeing six different players named to the All-MAC teams in 2023, Jackie Wolford was named MAC Offensive Player of the Year and Madison Flannigan was named MAC Goalkeeper of the Year.
Patrick played four years of lacrosse at Baldwin Wallace University where she graduated with a bachelor's in finance in 2019. She was named All-Ohio Athletic Conference First Team in her sophomore and senior seasons, with Second Team honors her junior year. As a midfielder, she was a three-time captain and a recipient of the Jerry Zemelka Award for Leadership.
