
Women's Tennis Falls to Bowling Green, 6-1

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Xavier University women's tennis team had it two match winning streak snapped by Bowling Green, 6-1, in Toledo Saturday afternoon. The Musketeers continued their solid play at doubles, winning the point, but were swept in singles to fall to 3-2 for the spring.
Xavier's No. 1 doubles tandem of Jackie Vilines and Kara Courtney defeated Nussbaum and Jakuplin by an 8-3 count. Xavier also got a win from the No. 2 position as Kaitlyn Zinn and Jeanette Feider defeated Kintzel and Munoff 8-4.
In doubles action this season, XU has won four of the five possible points.
The Musketeers (3-2) saw the home-standing Falcons (4-3) win all six singles matches to extend BGSU's winning streak to three straight.
Xavier is back in action Feb. 17 and 18 in Green Bay, Wis. with matches against Wisconsin-Green Bay and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
