Xavier Senior Standout Justin Doellman Set To Play In Senior Showcase

CINCINNATI - Xavier University senior forward Justin Doellman has accepted an invitation to play this Friday in The DiGiorno NABC College All-Star Game. The game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. at Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Ga., the host city for this weekend's NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four.
"It is a tremendous honor for Justin Doellman to be a part of the NABC All-Star Game," said Xavier head coach Sean Miller. "To be considered as one of the best collegiate senior basketball players is a distinction that he has earned. His career at Xavier, and in particular his senior campaign, puts him in an elite category of players both in Xavier history and in his 2007 class. We are all very proud of him."
Doellman, a 2006-07 Atlantic 10 Conference First Team selection, led Xavier in scoring at 13.7 ppg. and in rebounding for the third straight year at 5.5 rpg, while helping XU finish 25-9, win the 2007 Atlantic 10 Conference Regular Season Championship and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. In addition to the scoring and rebounding, he led XU in blocks at 1.15 bpg.
Doellman left his mark on the Xavier record books, breaking the school record for games played (132), while finishing in the top 20 all-time in scoring (17th with 1,402 points), rebounding (16th with 708 rebounds) and blocked shots (third with 142 blocks).
The annual NABC All-Star Game pits two teams comprised of many of this year's top senior performers. Tickets can be purchased at the Philips Arena Box Office or online at www.philipsareana.com.
Doellman's team, which will be coached by LSU's John Brady, includes the likes of Aaron Brooks (Oregon), Carl Landry (Purdue), D.J. Strawberry (Maryland), Kyle Visser (Wake Forest) and Jamaal Tatum (Southern Illinois). The opponent for Doellman's team, which will be coached by George Mason's Jim Larranaga, includes Cartier Martin (Kansas State) and Adam Haluska (Iowa).
