Forest Oaks Fall Classic Cancelled Due to Approaching Hurricane

Greensboro, N.C. – The Forest Oaks Fall Classic was cancelled this morning due to inclement weather. High winds and heavy rain from the approaching hurricane pounded the course at the Forest Oaks Country Club. After pushing back the final two rounds twice, the host school, UNCG, decided to cancel the tournament as a whole.

With this ruling, Xavier finishes in second after shooting a 297 (+17) as a team yesterday morning.

Senior Shane Crutchfield finishes tied for second after shooting a 71 (+1). Two other Musketeers, Rachel Johnson and Hanna Lee, finish in the top 10.

Johnson and Lee both tie for eighth after carding identical rounds of 75 (+5).

Sophomore Nina Kulkarni tied for 13th after shooting a 76 (+6), while classmate Lindsay Murray tied for 30th after shooting an 80 (+10).

The golf team travels to Piscataway, New Jersey next for the Rutgers Women's Invitational on September 16th.
