Two Musketeers Have Career Best Rounds

Yorktown, Ind. – Senior Shane Crutchfield finished tied for sixth individually after posting a final round score of 75 (+3) at the Ball State Cardinal Classic today. The tournament was played at the par 72, 6,204 yard Players Club. Crutchfield, a St. Petersburg, Florida native, shot a career best score of 69 (-3) on Monday afternoon. Crutchfield shot 75-69-75 for a total of 219 (+3). Crutchfield played the par 5's under par this tournament, averaging 4.67 strokes, (-3) overall.

The Musketeers as a team finished tied for fifth, shooting a 304-293 in the first two rounds on Monday for a total of 597 (+20). The team put up a final round score of 308 (+21) to finish with a combined score of 905 (+41).

Sophomore Hanna Lee finished tied for 15th after shooting a final round 78 (+6) for a three round total of 77-69-78 [224, +8]. Lee, a Cincinnati native, also had a career low round when she shot a 69 (-3) on Monday afternoon. Lee played the par 3's under par averaging 2.89 strokes, (-1) overall for the tournament.

Junior Rachel Johnson finished tied for 24th after shooting a final round 76 (+4) for a three round total of 78-76-76 [230, +14]. Johnson, a Nashville, Tennessee native, was second on the team with 33 pars in 54 holes.

Sophomore Lindsey Murray, a Tipp City, Ohio native, finished tied for 34th after shooting a final round 79 (+7) for a three round total of 74-79-79 [232, +16].

Sophomore Nina Kulkarni, a Dayton native, finished tied for 50th after shooting a final round 79 (+7) for a three round total of 78-80-79 [237, +21].

The golf team travels to Greensboro, N.C. next for the UNCG Forest Oaks Fall Classic on October 2nd.
