Cam Taylor Earns Spot on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

RS sophomore had golden goal in win over No. 18 Creighton on Wednesday
NEW YORK – Xavier men's soccer redshirt sophomore Cameron Taylor was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, earning the award after a three-point match in a 2-1 win over No. 18 Creighton last Wednesday.
Taylor, a defender from Indianapolis, Ind., played the hero as XU picked up a big league win with a golden goal in the 105th minute - helping the Musketeers defeat the Bluejays for a second straight year.
Taylor also assisted on Matt Vasquenza's equalizer in the 80th minute. His three points tied Providence's Julian Gressel for most in the BIG EAST last week.
Xavier (8-6-3, 4-3-1 BIG EAST) is in a three-way tie for third in the BIG EAST with just one match remaining. The Musketeers host nationally-ranked Butler on Thursday night in a pivotal regular season finale with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET.
