11.06.16 | Men's Soccer
OMAHA, Neb. – A sixth minute score by Walker Andriot wasn't enough on Sunday, as Xavier men's soccer fell 3-1 on the road in BIG EAST Quarterfinal action at Morrison Stadium.
The Musketeers, who had won two straight against Creighton in the series, drop to 8-8-3 after finishing the regular season with a 4-4-1 record in BIG EAST action. Xavier was competing as the fifth-seed in the tournament for the first time.
Despite the loss, Xavier competed in its fourth straight BIG EAST Championships. Xavier has never failed to qualify for the league tournament or finished any lower than fifth in the league since joining ahead of the 2013 season.
Creighton improved to 10-5-3 overall and will travel on Thursday to play the league's top overall seed in Providence.

• XU is now 9-11-4 against NSCAA-ranked foes since 2010.
