Women’s Golf Heads to Arizona for Rio Verde Invitational

RIO VERDE, Ariz. – The Xavier women's golf team travels to Arizona today for the 14th annual Rio Verde Invitational. Hosted by Western Michigan, the three-day tournament will be played at the Rio Verde Country Club's White Wing Course, which will be playing 6,215 yards and par 72.
The eighteen-team field consists of the host team Western Michigan, Akron, Arkansas State, Little Rock, Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Illinois State, Missouri State, University of Missouri-Kansas City, Northern Arizona, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Seton Hall, Toledo, Wichita State, and Xavier.
Xavier's lineup will be senior Shane Crutchfield in the number one position, followed by sophomore's Hanna Lee, Lindsay Murray, and Nina Kulkarni, and junior Rachel Johnson.
First round begins Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. eastern time. The tournament format is stroke play with 18 holes per day.
