Four Quick Points Secures Win Over EKU For Women’s Tennis, 6-1

CINCINNATI – Women's tennis beat Eastern Kentucky at Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club, 6-1, Friday night to move to 3-2 on the season.
Xavier was able to secure the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles by Sydney Liggins and Amina Ismail and Cristina Di Lorenzo and Alex Brinker.
Three singles victories followed to secure the win for the Musketeers. Lauren Ghidotti started off singles play by beating Raquel Montalvo, 6-2, 6-0. Ismail followed suit by downing Marina Marti, 6-2, 6-0. Finally, Di Lorenzo won her match over Corentine Bodin, 6-1, 6-1.
The Musketeers are on the road Saturday, Feb. 6 at Miami (Ohio) University. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
