Women's Golf Begins Jacksonville Classic on Monday

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – This weekend, Xavier women's golf heads down to Florida to compete in the 10th annual Jacksonville Classic hosted by Jacksonville University at Marsh Landing Country Club. This is the first year Xavier will compete in this tournament. The two day tournament will be played Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 2-3 with 36 holes the first day and finishing with 18 on the second.
The course will stretch 5,967 yards and play as a par-72.
The 15 team field consists of host Jacksonville, Bethune-Cookman, Charleston Southern, Daytona State, Flagler College, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb, Seminole State, Stetson, UAB, USC-Upstate, and Xavier.
An 8:30 a.m. shotgun start is scheduled for both days of competition.
Mikayla Fitzpatrick and the Musketeers look to stay hot after finishing 4th as a team in last week's Mary Fossum Invitational. Fitzpatrick earned a top-10 finish to lead the Musketeers.
