Musketeers get second straight shutout, pick up three big points with road win at Wish Field
CINCINNATI – Jacob Goodall and Cam Taylor each found the back of the net as Xavier men's soccer picked up three big points in a 2-0 road win at DePaul on Wednesday at Wish Field.
Goodall had a goal and an assist for his first career three-point match as the Musketeers improved to 9-4-2 and 4-3 in the BIG EAST. The three points were significant, helping XU jump into third place in the BIG EAST standings at 12 points with two matches to play.
DePaul fell to 4-10-2 and 1-5-1 in the BIG EAST.
• Jacob Goodall's goal was the first of his Xavier career. The midfielder also now leads the BIG EAST with seven assists.
• Cam Taylor's goal was his sixth of the season, moving him into a tie for second on the team with 14 points this season (6g, 2a).
• Joash Sutherland picked up his first assist of the season, giving XU nine different players with an assist this season.
• Xavier held a 15-9 edge in shots and a 14-3 advantage in corner kicks. The 14 corners were a season-high.
• XU now has a 97-57 edge in corner kicks against its opposition this year.
• The shutout was the fifth of the season for XU and was the the team's second straight.
• XU put nine shots on frame, forcing DePaul keeper Quentin Low to make seven saves. The nine shots on goal were tied for XU's second-highest total of the fall.
• Junior Colin Hanley made his second straight start, making three saves and posting his second shutout of the year and sixth in a Xavier uniform.
• The Musketeers are now 25-14-4 (.628) in league play since joining the BIG EAST for the 2013 season.
• XU improved to 3-3-2 on the road this season.

• Xavier returns home for Senior Night on Saturday, hosting Seton Hall in its final regular season match at XU Soccer Complex this fall. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be carried live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
