No. 13/14 Xavier, 7-1, continues its homestand on Wednesday vs. Kent State, 5-3 and winners of two straight games. XU is No. 13 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 14 in the USA Today Coaches Poll this week. Xavier is coming off two straight convincing wins over top 20 opponents, defeating then-No. 11 Cincinnati 89-76 on Saturday and then-No. 16 Baylor 76-63 this past Tuesday. Xavier has won 35 straight non-conference home games entering Wednesday night's contest.

• Xavier, a 2017 NCAA Elite Eight team, has made it to at least the Sweet 16 six times in the last 10 years, one of only nine schools that can say that. XU is one of only eight schools have been to at least 11 of the last 12 NCAA tournaments.
