Xavier Women's Tennis Secures First Win of 2017 Season

Cincinnati, OH- Xavier women's tennis secured their first dual match victory of the 2017 season on Friday at Eastern Kentucky.

The Musketeers won 6-1 over Eastern Kentucky and are 1-4 on the season. In singles play, Sydney Liggins won her No. 1 match, 6-3, 6-2. Liggins also won her No. 2 doubles matchup with Sophia Abelson, 6-2. Cristina Di Lorenzo was successful in her No. 1 singles match, winning 6-3, 6-3, and won her No. 1 doubles match with Lauren Ghidotti, 6-3. Ghidotti, Vania lordanova and Abelson also won their singles matches. Â
