Fitzpatrick Has Career Weekend, Finishes Top-10 in Arizona

RIO VERDE, Ariz. – The Xavier women's golf team finished the final round at the Rio Verde Invitational this afternoon.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS

Mikayla Fitzpatrick, from nearby Phoenix, finished tied for eighth after a final round 76 (+4). The freshman led the team in birdies with nine, and secured her first top-10 finish of her career, and career best three round score of 221 (+5) overall.

Mikayla Smith had the best round of the day for Xavier, shooting a final round 73 (+1), tying the lowest round of her career.

Grace Howie was a big mover on the final day, shooting a final round 74 (+2) to jump 15 spots on her way to a season best three round score of 230 (+14) overall.

TEAM RESULTS

The Musketeers finished in 14th, with a season-best three round combined score of 920 (+56).
