Women's Tennis Finishes Home Stretch With A Victory

CINCINNATI- Women's tennis finished a three-game home stretch strong defeating the Bowling Green Falcons 6-1 Friday, March 3. Â Three Musketeers earn their sixth victory of the spring season.
In singles, Sydney Liggins secured her sixth victory in the No. 1 spot with a 7-5, 4-6, 10-8 decision. The senior has also been responsible for helping Xavier claim victories over some key opponents including Eastern Kentucky, Northern Kentucky, and Bowling Green.
In doubles, Cristina Di Lorenzo and partner Lauren Ghidotti earn their sixth straight win at the No. 2 spot. They defeated Paula Comella and Marharita-Sophia Tavpash with a score of 6-4.
The Musketeers head to Fort Myers, FL on Wednesday, March 8 as they face Florida Gulf Coast. Xavier then plays on Thursday, March 9 as they take on Troy.
