Musketeers Travel to California for a Pair of Track Meets

Xavier will compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Beach Invitational on April 13-15

CINCINNATI - Xavier outdoor track and field travels to California on April 13-15 for a pair of meets. The Musketeers will compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 13-14 and the Beach Invitational on April 15.

The Musketeers recently competed at the Hilltopper Relays, posting three top-10 finishes at the meet (Xavier had six student-athletes compete in the meet).

MEET OUTLOOK - COACH ORNER

"I've decided to focus all of our efforts at the Bryan Clay Invitational. We'll use the Clay Invite as our primary meet, scratch from our events at the Mt. SAC Relays and then use the Beach Invite as our secondary competition on Saturday. I brought four athletes out to California this year with one goal in mind. Run fast enough to qualify for the NCAA East Regional. On the men's side, Nolan will be focused on making it in the 800, and Grant in the 1500. On the women's side, Gina will focus on the 3000m steeple chase and Alondra will focus on the 1500. After a long day of travel and a pre meet run-through on Wednesday, I'm really excited to kick things off on Thursday and chase some qualifying marks."
