Women's Soccer Falls to EKU on a Late Goal

Musketeers return to the field on Sunday against Ohio at 1 PM
CINCINNATI - An Eastern Kentucky goal in the final five minutes gave Xavier women's soccer its first home loss of the season on Friday evening. The Musketeers (2-2-1) led the Colonels in shots at the break, but EKU (2-2-1) intensified its attack in the second half to find the game-winner in the 86th minute on a rainy evening at the XU Soccer Complex.

- Toni Bizzarro collected seven saves on the evening with one goal against, playing the full 90 minutes for the Musketeers.
- Carly Alfano and Addie Englehart played the full 90 minutes on the Xavier back line.
- This marks the first time in 2017 the Musketeers have been shut-out.
- Xavier moves to 2-1-1 at home this season.
