• Xavier track and field most recently competed at the Kentucky Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 13. The meet was held at the Nutter Field House.
• The Musketeers were paced by Grayson Jenkins (15th place - one-mile run) and Nolan Daniels (15th place - 800-meter run) on the men's side. Sarah Clark placed 17th in the 800-meter run (2:22.13) to lead the women's team.
"The Gladstein Invitational is one of three premier meets that will provide our squads the best opportunity to prepare for the competition they'll face at the BIG EAST Championship. We'll have a few athletes in the lineup this weekend that haven't competed yet such as Zach Polk, Jenna Clayworth - who's coming off her race at the Canadian Nationals - and Maddie Britton who's coming off of the NCAA Championship in cross country. This will also be the first meet in a Xavier uniform for Robyn Blackwell, a true freshman who just arrived from South Africa. She's a few weeks behind in her training at this point, but I wanted to get her some experience on an indoor track since she's raced indoors before. Although we have a small group going up to IU, it's a very competitive group that should make an impact at the meet."
Xavier returns to action at the Thundering Herd Invitational on Jan. 26-27 in Huntington, W.V.
