CINCINNATI – Xavier men's tennis travels to Columbus tomorrow to face No. 2 Ohio State at 10 a.m. at the Ohio State Varsity Tennis Center.
The Musketeers are coming off a loss to Western Michigan. Head coach, Doug Matthews, gave his takeaways from the loss and thoughts on the season.
"Our number one goal every year is to be Big East Champions," said Matthews. "We need to have a more complete team performance than we did against Western Michigan if we want to compete with Ohio State."
Ohio State defeated Xavier last season, 4-0, and the Musketeers will look to even the score with the in-state rival.
"They are number two in the country for a reason," said Matthews. "They are really good at home and we will need a complete team performance to compete with them."
