CINCINNATI - The No. 8/8 Xavier Musketeers defeated the Marquette Golden Eagles, 89-70, on Wednesday nigh at Cintas Center. The Musketeers were led by Trevon Bluiett's milestone 2,000th career point as the senior finished with his 10th career double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds). The Musketeers used a balanced offense as five players scored in double figures.

FRIST HALF |
- The Musketeers opened the first half going on a 13-5 run led by Quentin Goodin's back-to-back threes.
- The Musketeers never trailed in the first half with their largest lead coming with over one minute remaining when they led by 20 (51-31).
- Xavier's bench shut out Marquette's bench 15-0 at the break.
- Xavier shot an impressive 57 percent from the field and 54 percent from beyond the arc.
- Quentin Goodin led the team with 13 points shooting 71 percent from the field (5-for-7) and going 3-for-3 from three-point range.
- At the end of the half, all Musketeers contributed to a 51-33 lead over the Golden Eagles led by Quentin Goodin's 13 points and J.P. Macura's six rebounds.

- Marquette used a 6-2 run to open the stanza, closing its deficit to 14 points (53-39). Xavier responded with a 20-8 run on 9-for-12 shooting to take its largest lead of the game, 73-47.
- Xavier maintained its lead for the remainder of the game, moving its home record to 14-0.
