The senior outside hitter posted a career-high 21 kills to go along with 24 digs
INDIANAPOLISÂ - Senior Laura Grossman posted a career-high 21 kills to go along with 24 digs on Saturday afternoon, leading the Xavier volleyball team to a four-set win (21-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-18) at Butler. The Musketeers improved to 6-14 (4-5 BIG EAST), while the Bulldogs dropped to 6-15 (3-6 BIG EAST).

• Senior outside hitter Laura Grossman posted a career-high 21 kills in the win, her second career match with 20 or more kills. She added a team-high 24 digs, one shy of matching her career high. Grossman led the Musketeers in kills (4.25 k/s) and digs (4.00 d/s) last week.
• Senior Morgan Finn added 12 kills with a .290 hitting percentage and three blocks. Freshman Norah Painter added 10 kills and two blocks. Finn finished the week with 22 kills to rank second on the team, averaging 2.75 kills per set.
• Sophomore Nadia Dieudonne posted her fourth double-double of the season, recording a team-high 26 assists to go along with 17 digs. Senior McKena Estes chipped in 18 assists, nine digs and three aces.
• Senior libero Meredith Klare posted her third career double-double, posting 17 digs and 10 assists. She finished the week averaging 3.50 digs per set.Â
• Xavier held an 8-4 advantage in aces, paced by freshman Ryan Shannon who had four. She added nine digs.Â
• The Bulldogs had three more total team blocks (14-11) than the Musketeers. Sophomore Audrey Adams led Xavier with six blocks (one solo, five assist), while freshman Jayda Carlton added five (five assist).

• Xavier continues BIG EAST action at No. 10 Creighton on Thursday, Oct. 18. First serve is slated for 8 p.m. ET.
