
Men's Basketball Hosts Wisconsin On Tuesday In Gavitt Tipoff Games Matchup

CINCINNATI --- The Xavier Musketeers, 2-0, host the Wisconsin Badgers, 1-0, on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at Cintas Center in a Gavitt Tipoff Games matchup.
The series is tied 3-3, although Xavier has won three of the last four meetings. Xavier defeated Wisconsin 80-70 in Madison last season. Xavier is 2-0 in the Gavitt Tipoff Games, the annual challenge between the Big Ten and the BIG EAST. Xavier defeated Wisconsin last season and then-No. 24 Michigan in Ann Arbor 86-70 in the 2015-16 season. This is the first time that Xavier has been the host team in the Gavitt Tipoff Games.
Xavier is hoping to continue its recent success against the Big Ten Conference. Xavier has won 10 of its last 12 games against seven different teams from the Big Ten Conference since the 2007-08 season, including 4-1 in NCAA Tournament action and 2-0 in the Gavitt Tipoff Games.

• Xavier sophomore Paul Scruggs scored a career-high 24 points in the Evansville win, while matching his career highs for rebounds (6) and assists (5).
• Xavier junior Quentin Goodin returned to action vs. Evansville after missing the exhibition game and the opener vs. IUPUI. Goodin contributed 14 points.
