12.23.18 | Men's Basketball
Junior guard set new career highs for points and rebounds.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University junior guard Quentin Goodin has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the second straight week. Goodin averaged 21.5 points, 7.5 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game in games at Missouri on Dec. 18 and vs. Detroit Mercy on Dec. 21.
Â
Goodin scored a career-high 21 points in the loss at Missouri and was XU's only double-figure scorer. Goodin followed that up by just missing a triple-double with a new career-high of 22 points, a career-high nine rebounds, nine assists and three steals in the Detroit Mercy win. His efforts helped offset the fact that XU was playing without two injured starters, sophomore forward Naji Marshall and junior forward Tyrique Jones.
Â
Xavier, 8-5, opens BIG EAST Conference play on Dec. 29 at DePaul.
