Women's Golf Returns to the Green in Rio Verde Invitational

RIO VERDE, ARIZ. — After a week's break, Xavier women's golf partakes in a two-day outing in the 2018 Rio Verde Invitational hosted by Western Michigan starting Friday, February 23. The tournament returns to Quail Run Course for the first time since Xavier claimed the top spot in 2014.
The Musketeers will be represented in Arizona by Mikayla Fitzpatrick, Mikayla Smith, Andi Shukow, Morgan Tinsley and Grace Howie.
The par 72, 6,128-yard tournament has participants from Akron, Bowling Green State, Missouri State, Little Rock, Arkansas State, Bradley, Northern Illinois, UNKC, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Ohio, Wichita State and host team Western Michigan.

This is Xavier's second tournament of the 2018 spring season after claiming second place in the Ball State Invitational. The Musketeers were led by Mikayla Smith, who went undefeated in match play at the event.
