No. 3 Xavier Finishes Regular Season At DePaul Looking To Secure Sole Possession Of BIG EAST Title

Musketeers can secure top seed in BIG EAST Tournament.
No. 3 Xavier, 26-4 overall and in first place at 14-3 in the BIG EAST Conference, has clinched at least a share of its first BIG EAST regular season title. XU can secure sole possession of the championship and the top seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament with a win at DePaul on Saturday. The game will be broadcast on FOX and 700 WLW.

• Xavier senior National Player of the Year candidate Trevon Bluiett is sixth in the BIG EAST in scoring at 19.3 ppg. He has scored 2,165 points, good for second on XU's all-time scoring list. His 306 career 3-pointers are just one shy of the XU record.
• Xavier senior J.P. Macura is 20th on XU's all-time scoring list with 1,415 points.
• Xavier sophomore Quentin Goodin, who scored 18 points in the win on Feb. 28 vs. Providence, has averaged 13.1 ppg. over the last nine games. Goodin is second in the BIG EAST in assists at 5.1 apg. and assist/turnover ratio at 2.19.
• Xavier freshman Naji Marshall has been named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week four times in the last seven weeks, including each of the last two weeks.
• Xavier ninth-year head coach Chris Mack, a semifinalist for the 2018 Naismith National Coach of the Year, is XU's all-time wins leader at 212-95.
• Xavier, 26-4, has secured its fifth straight 20-win season and 12th in 13 years. The 26 wins tie the school record for most regular season victories.
• Xavier, a 2017 NCAA Elite Eight team, has made it to at least the Sweet 16 six times in the last 10 years, one of only nine schools that can say that. XU is one of only eight schools have been to at least 11 of the last 12 NCAA tournaments.
• Xavier has graduated 105 straight men's basketball seniors dating back to the 1985-86 school year.
