Xavier Comes Up Short in Loss to Radford

Orlando, Fla.- Xavier men's tennis lost, 4-3, in a closely contested match to Radford University on Thursday.

Xavier secured two doubles and two singles play wins. At No. 1 doubles, Gabriel Araujo and Jack Dykema defeated Robin Calais and Carlos Sala, 6-4. Freshman duo, Alejandro Rodriguez-Vidal and Brett Winters, defeated Matko Varga and Michiel Meekers, 6-4.

Winters also won at No. 2 singles over Varga in three sets, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2. Matthew Graft won in three sets at No. 6 singles over Calais, 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.

The Musketeers are back in action on March 16 against the University of Dayton at the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility in Cincinnati.
