Xavier Travels to Indianapolis to Face Butler in Final Match of Regular Season

INDIANAPOLIS- Xavier men's tennis will face BIG EAST foe, Butler, on Saturday, April 21 at the Butler Bubble at 3 p.m. This will be the final match of the regular season before the BIG EAST tournament in Cayce, S.C. on April 26-29.

The Bulldogs are 13-6 on the season, coming off a 4-3 defeat to DePaul on April 14.

The Musketeers will attempt to complete the season with a conference win. The Musketeers and Bulldogs met last April, where Butler topped Xavier 2-5. Xavier is 5-14 overall, coming off a tough loss to Marquette on April 8.

Xavier head coach, Doug Matthews, shared his thoughts on the final opponent of the season as the Musketeers prepare for the BIG EAST Tournament.

"Butler is a strong team and will be another good road test," said Matthews. "I feel we are playing our best tennis of the season right now so I'm excited to see how we perform."
