Women's Soccer Closes Out Road Trip with Setback at West Virginia

Musketeers return home to host USI on Sunday afternoon
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. - Xavier women's soccer finished up a tough road swing at RV West Virginia on Thursday evening, falling 3-0 to the Mountaineers in the final of four-straight road matches. Xavier moved to 1-4-0 on the season and returns home on Sunday to host Southern Indiana.
41' | WVU | Off a corner kick, WVU's Lizzie Mayfield served the ball to Addison Clark who score on a header to put the Mountaineers up 1-0 at the break.
76' | WVU | The Mountaineers added an insurance goal after WVU's Issy Sibley chipped the ball over Bizzarro as she dove for a lose ball in the box to go ahead 2-0.
83' | WVU | West Virginia added a third tally late, scoring off a cross from Jade Gentile on the right side to Lois Joel from just in front of the net, scoring from four yards out.

- The match against USI is Youth Jersey Day - Kids in grades 8 & under get in FREE wearing their youth team jersey.
- All kids in grades 8 & under are invited to the field after the game to participate in penalty kicks on the field.
